My girls...

Are growing up to fast.  Cadence starts school in 13 days.  13 DAYS PEOPLE!! She is totally ready too.  She breezed through her physical, eye check up, and the dentist.  She picked out a folder for her back pack today and is stoked for Open House so she can meet her teacher.  She has already colored a picture for her new teacher.  Today we picked out a new outfit for her first day of school and she was telling me, in detail, how she wanted her hair done.  She is already anticipating all the new friends she will have.  She even told me that she would probably have some boy friends too since they aren't all bad.  "Don't worry mom. There will be NO kissing.  That's just...(shudder) icky."

My favorite quote from Cady today has to be: Mom. Rory keeps trying to destroy me with her powers but she can't. I'm bigger and stronger. And I have, like, 20 lives I think.

Girl watches way to many X-Men cartoon re-runs on Netflix.

Rory.  Oh, dear, sweet, insane, lovely Rory.  I wanna be like her when I grow up.  She totally doesn't care what her hair looks like, if her clothes match, and has no trouble telling people exactly what she thinks...all the time.  She is one pint-sized firecraker.  And I love every skinny little inch of her.  Today, while at the dentist for Cady, anytime a woman or girl came into the room she would gasp (no really she would for real gasp) and say in a reverent voice, "Mom isn't she just so pretty?" So many people smiled or laughed because of her today.  I'm pretty sure that she made quite of few women's day today.

My favorite Rory quote to day?
Rory: "Ring around the rosy. Papa-cola-cozy. Ashlet. Ashlet. We all fall down!
Me: "Rory, it's Ring around the rosy, pocket full of posy, ashes, ashes, we all fall down!"
Rory: "Mommy, no. That makes nonsense!"

And Beckah.  Sweet, round, drooly Beckah.  She is sooo LOUD these days.  You know all those cute little baby babbles and coos?  Yeah...she yells them at the top of her lungs most of the day.  It really is very funny.  Less funny at 6 am when she wakes up for a quick snack before going back to sleep.  Believe me, by the time she gets through it I am WIDE awake.  lol  She also LOVES to bounce in her jumparoo. Here is video evidence...

She will be 5 months old soon.  She is almost half a year old.  She is just shy of 16lbs now.  She has almost tripled her birth weight.  What the heck?!?!  I am loving her new stage though.  She is almost sitting up and grabbing at everything.  If it makes noise and lights up, she loves it.  Good thing I kept a bunch of toys from when Cady and Rory were tiny.  She also LOVES her sisters.  If she can hear them she will squawk at us until someone makes sure she can see them.  Today, on our way home from Target, Cadence was making silly noises to her and she was just back there belly laughing which led to everyone in the car laughing.  It was awesome.

I'm really loving life right now.  I have such awesome girls.  I have one amazing husband.  What could be better?

Look for some pictures of all the girls soon.  :o)

Bunk bed!

It took me two days in the sweltering sauna that is our garage in the summer (and that is with the garage door open and a fan blowing directly on me) to paint their new bunk bed.  They couldn't agree on one color of course.

Before...

And After!

Their room looks so much bigger now.  Brady wasted no time showing them how to tuck a blanket onto the top bunk to make a fort of the bottom one.  So far it's been a big hit.

And there is a new recipe on Reciped!  Orange Scones!  So yum, so make sure you check them out!  :o)

Oh Rory.

She wanted a head band like her sister.  Minutes later she was wearing it like this and wouldn't take it off.  She's a nut ball.

Beckah is 4 months old!!

Where has the time gone?? She is laughing (not often).  She smiles at just about everyone.  It is insanely hard to clean out her neck rolls. She is just the sweetest little sweetheart ever!  I have never met such and easy baby.  Her appointment isn't until the end of the month (gotta love TriCare) so I will post stats when we get them.  I will have to try and get pictures of her thumb sucking cause it is so cute how she holds her nose.  Anyway...enjoy her cuteness!

Beckah's 2 month stats and other craziness...

Sorry we are so late updating about Beckah's two month stats. Things around here have been...interesting. Most of you that keep up with me on Facebook know that we have been in and out of the ER with Beckah getting tests done. She was projectile vomiting after every feeding for a whole day and it freaked me out. I, unfortunately was all alone when this happened. Brady was away getting more training at Keesler for two weeks. :o( So I packed all three kids up and headed to the ER. After a couple of ultrasounds, x-rays, and some really wonderful people in the ER helping me with the girls we figured out that she was constipated and has a bit of reflux. She isn't bad enough to be on meds and once we got her constipation taken care of things got MUCH better. A combination of a little bit of watered down prune juice mixed with some baby safe probiotics has made for a much happier baby. She hasn't vomited in a total of 5 days now and I am so happy about this.

So on to her two month stats. She was 11lbs 15ozs and 23 inches. Puts her in the 75th percentile over all. My little chunky monkey. She has some serious leg rolls and adorable chins. Brady was changing her diaper the other day and told me “Our daughter has some serious junk in her trunk.” Yes sir, she does. It's dang cute too!

Beckah smiles and coos all the time now. She also has found her thumb. For real. I am not looking forward to getting her off of her thumb later in life, but for now it is really awesome. She self soothes and puts her self to sleep very easily. Her pacifier is always on hand. Literally. She also LOVES our Classical Baby videos (all the girls love them really). Makes my life just a bit easier when you can have 25 minutes to do whatever needs doing. Oh and two hands to do it with.

Cady and Rory have been great. Rory had what we are pretty sure was an allergic reaction to Mahi last week. We don't eat much fish (other than canned tuna, which both girls love and neither have had a reaction to). So I was trying to branch out with the Mahi. It was really good and Rory LOVED it. So when her face turned red and her face, neck and arms started itching I was pretty bummed. Well worried and then bummed. We got another referral to our allergist (gotta love TriCare) and we will be figuring out how bad the allergy is and what else we need to keep her away from. Oh and if we need to start carrying an Epipen (sp?). Fun times.

Cady is getting geared up for School in the fall. I can't believe that she will start kindergarden! She is so ready for it. I have no idea what we will do without her all day.

That is about it for now. We are gearing up for our trip to Vegas in a week! SOOOOOO ready for a vacation and some family time! I also can't wait to meet my newest nephew for the first time, and take lots of pictures of everyone! :o)
