So since we moved in we have been waiting to get our mail box key. We had to take our title documents down to the post office and they would check that we actually owned the house and then they give us our key. Sounds simple right? Not so much.
I went down the first Saturday we lived in the house (I don't have a car during the week since Brady's died on us). I waited in line for 45 minutes and then waited for another 20 while the guy at the counter looked for the key. He came back and told me they didn't have it yet and to come back in a week. Bummer. So I came back the following weekend. Another 30 minute wait...still don't have it. The third weekend (this past weekend) we decided to call first. They still don't have our key and then told us that the builder had yet to release it. Ummmm...right. Called the builder. They have no idea what USPS was talking about but said that they would look into it and to call back Monday. I called Tuesday and the builder tells me that they don't have keys to release since the post office is the one that installs our boxes and then mail themselves the keys to give to us home owners. Great. This is getting FUN now. So I call back the post office. The chick that answered the phone was great. When I asked about our key she immediately asks me if I live on Headrick. I say yes. She then explains that they are holding out mail at the post office since our box hasn't been installed yet (there is only one on the street and it only has 12 boxes in it...there are about 20 finished houses on the street...yeah didn't add up for me either and I suck at math). So once the box has been installed we will get a key. For now we have to get our mail at the post office. I asked if they were going to reimburse me for gas. She just laughed...I think she thought I was joking.
*Sigh*

All the babies...and some about our house
Well! Things have certainly been crazy for us lately. Rory was born September 2nd and our life was turned upside down. I then got sick with Laryngitis. So fun. (Yes that was some sarcasm) Then we finally got to sign all our documents and got the keys to our house! That was an awesome day! We moved in September 27th with some help from family, friends and some wonderful guys from our ward (who really should just be counted in the friends department...I owe you guys some cookies or something). Our house is coming along just great! I will have pictures up soon I promise. Then on September 30th we got the great news that Ryan and Megan had their baby early! We drove up the Sunday after he was born to visit. Aidric is super cute and Cady talks about him all the time. We can't wait for them to come and visit us now that we have room for people to stay with us...we even have a bed for visitors to stay in! Here is a picture of Cady with her new cousin.
Rory was a month old on the 2nd. She is growing like crazy and cooing a bit now, though she prefers to watch everything around her. She loves to be cuddled, swing in her swing, and sleeps very well so long as mommy or daddy is near by.

These pictures are a bit older, but I wanted to put them up. Cady was outside learning to hit a ball with a bat with Brady and Grandpa Randy shortly before we moved. Eventually it degenerated to this...

The next two pictures are just plain funny. The first one was Cady and Rory crashing on their dad one night. I don't think it was even that late at night, but Cady had apparently decided that it was time for bed.
This one is great too. Rory was probably three or four days old in this picture. We hadn't slept the much the night before and Cady crawled right up next to us on the couch and decided to take a nap with us. Brady found us all like this when he got home.

And here is one of adorable Tyson. That kid just gets cuter every day.

Anyway, two days after we got back from visiting Ry and Meg I got the worst head cold I have ever had...and I still have it. Darn cold won't give it up. Stinks. Other than that things are awesome for us. It got really cold here in Vegas and I had to go and buy Cady some jeans and long sleeve shirts since all her stuff from last year is WAY to small. She is in 4T now. The child just won't slow down. She really is going to be 6 feet tall or close to it. Rory is growing the same way. Looks like I will be the shortest in my family yet again. It's all good though.
I hope that you all are doing well and that everyone is looking forward to the holidays! Halloween here we come!

Busy Busy
I just wanted to say that we are doing well. We moved into our new house and are busy getting everything painted and put away. Cady loves her new house and her room. Rory is gowing like a weed and very observant right now. I will have pictures soon!

Rory is here!
I realize that it has been a whole week since she was born and I haven't updated the blog. I'm sorry it took so long, but, as many of you know, new babies are time consuming! That in combination with a 2.5 year old and it is some kind of miracle that I am still alive right now! Anyway, on to Rory...
We went in at midnight on Tuesday the 2nd to be induced. I signed all the paper work, got changed into the lovely hospital gown, and got set up on the monitors. The nurse had to poke me three times before she finally gave up and put the IV in my hand. I had told her she would have too but everyone always thinks they are going to be the magic one to find a vein in my arm. I was at a 3 when they started my pit at 2 am. Two hours later at 4 am I was at a four. Contractions weren't that bad. Then the nurse broke my water. The contractions went crazy after that. Nurse ordered an epidural for me and that helped for a while. At 6 am I was feeling a crazy amount of pressure and then pain. Called the nurse to check me. I was at a 7. I asked what had happened to my epidural. She told me that I was moving to fast for it to keep up. I got a boost from the anesthesiologist and that helped until an hour later when I hit a 9. They had to slow the pitocin at the point cause Rory's heart rate was dipping with the force of the contractions. That allowed my epidural to catch up, which was a really nice thing! I could still "feel" what was going on, but the pain was finally gone. At 9:45 am we started pushing. I pushed all of 6 times and Rory arrived at 10:14 am. I was amazed at how fast she came! It took me 4 1/2 hours to push Cadence out so I was prepared for the worst. Brady got to cut the cord this time and they plopped her right up on me once he was done. It was awesome!
Rory weighted in at 6lbs 10oz and was 19 inches long. That was also a shock since Cadence was 7lbs 6 oz and 19 1/4 inches long. Rory was sucking on her fingers immediately after birth and when I tried to nurse her for the first time she latched on like a pro. She has been a super nurser and HATES formula (we had to give her some cause she had a bit of jaundice). She just holds it in her mouth and tries to spit it out. Cracks me up. She is a poop machine. Every hour on the hour the girl fills a diaper. She hates to have her diaper changed and makes the silliest faces all the time. She loves to cuddle, just like Cady did.
Cadence is totally in love with her sister! When she first met her all she could talk about was bringing her home and loving her. She has had some really bad moments, but they are all directed at me and Brady. So far her sister has escaped any mistreatment!
Anyway, I need to feed a baby, but here are some pictures of our newest family member! Enjoy!

Our Last Day With Just Cady
Today was a great day! It was Cady's last day as an only child and our last day as family of three so we decided to have a family day. This morning we went Home Teaching with Daddy and visited the Reeve's. Cady had a blast with their two older kids and it was sweet to meet their new baby. Then we went to Smiths and picked up some popcorn to feed the geese at Floyd Lamb Park. It was awesome! There was so many Geese and ducks and all the babies were getting so big. Cady had so much fun tossing them the popcorn and Brady and I had a great time watching her!

We headed over to Brady's parent's house for some BBQ after the park. Happy Birthday to Grandpa Mike! Cadence was a bit tired and had a hard time settling down, but it was great to see them all and watch some football. After Cady had a nap, She got to ride with her Grandma Suzi out to see our new house witch should be done by the end of this month! Grandma hadn't seen it yet so it was fun to show her around. We then went to Peter Piper Pizza where Cady played on the slide and won a bunch of tickets (and ate pizza of course). She piked some awesome prizes and we headed home. Now we are just preparing for our midnight arrival at the hospital.
We have packed Cady a over night bag since tomorrow she will be heading to Grandma Suzi's for a sleep over. My mom is doing us the huge favor of sleeping in our room with Cadence tonight so she wakes up to a familiar face tomorrow. I am hoping she will get to come see her new sister shortly after waking tomorrow, but we will see how that goes. Wednesday, August 27, 2008
The count down is on!
So I was at a two hedging a three today at my Dr.'s appointment and he asked me what I wanted to do...let her stay for a while or kick her out! I told him that if he thought that I could have a successful induction based on my exam today that I wanted to give Rory her eviction notice. He said that I should do fine since I am soft and moving on my own a bit. So it is official...unless she decides to move out on her own, I will be going in on Monday the 1st/Tuesday the 2nd at midnight and will be induced. I am happy to have a for sure day but I am not giving up on trying to get her to come out on her own until then!
Cadence is really excited! If we make it to the induction day she will get to stay the night at Grandma Suzi's and when her sister gets here they will be making their way on down to meet her. Brady told her that we would be going to the hospital to pick up Rory and that seemed to make sense to Cady. I am so ready to see them together and find out what a great big sister Cadence will make!
Here are some pictures of Cadence for your viewing pleasure! We will be updating the blog via Brady's iPhone as soon as we have a new little girl! Thanks to everyone for the best wishes! We are gonna need them!

I am SO ready....
To have this baby! I have been having contractions most nights and can't sleep, the baby has dropped and my hips feel like they are on fire with all the pressure. That and Rory is STILL moving around like she has all the room in the world to do so! Little stinker!
I have an appointment tomorrow and I am hoping that all the contracting has made some progress. I would love for her to decide to get the heck out! lol. We are so ready to meet her and i would love for her to kick on her daddy for a while!
Wish me luck!
