To have this baby! I have been having contractions most nights and can't sleep, the baby has dropped and my hips feel like they are on fire with all the pressure. That and Rory is STILL moving around like she has all the room in the world to do so! Little stinker!
I have an appointment tomorrow and I am hoping that all the contracting has made some progress. I would love for her to decide to get the heck out! lol. We are so ready to meet her and i would love for her to kick on her daddy for a while!
Wish me luck!

In other news...
Well...our lives have been totally crazy lately.
First things first...we are buying a house! I have been waiting to post this because we weren't sure if the loan was going to go through in time. It went through at the last minute on our last day to get approved before losing our "Good Faith" money! That was yesterday and it was one of the most nerve wracking days of my entire life! But it is going through and with any luck it will be done in August just in time for us move in and have a baby! So wish us luck!
Speaking of babies...we can't find a name! Well that's not quite true. We have found some that we like but nothing that just sticks. I feel like every week we find a name that we both like, but it just doesn’t feel “right” after a few days and the whole thing starts over again. It’s probably because I am a head case. We had such and easy time with Cadence. I had always wanted to use that name for a girl and when I told Brady, laid back guy that he is, he totally agreed and we never had a change of heart. It was meant to be her name. This time around we keep finding great boy names. Soooo not what we need since this baby is totally all girl where it counts! Plus Brady really wants to be involved this time around since my favorite ended up working out perfect last time. I am totally all for that! If he find that perfect name I will be so very happy because I am going crazy thinking about it! Thank goodness we have a few more months to decide.
Speaking of Cadence…I really need to start a weekly Cadenceism post! Most of you know what a talker she is. Very articulate and we totally have to watch what we say around her since she is soaking everything in! The other day I asked her if she was excited to have a baby sister. She said the following: “I love my baby sister! She is gonna be little and cry but I don’t want her to cry. I just give her some loves and she will be happy.” About made me cry! When asked if she wanted chicken nuggets or a hamburger for dinner she told me, “I don’t want chichin nuggies. I think a hemburber would taste just yummy though. But it’s only yummy if it has chocolate milk too! Can my hemburber have some chocolate milk mommy?” Just tonight, at Stake Women’s Volleyball, one of the ladies that I play with asked her if she was ready for a little sister. Cadence said, “Yeah, I am. I have some money so it will be okay.”
The best one of the week happened a couple of nights ago. She had been in watching sports with my dad in his room, so I was watching X-Men: Last Stand in the living room. It was the end of the movie right before Hugh Jackman’s character kills another character who had turned evil (long story and hard to explain unless you have seen the movie). Anyway, Hugh Jackman didn’t have much of a shirt left in this scene. Cadence comes waltzing in (literally, she was singing too) and takes one look at the screen and asks me “What’s he doing mommy?” In that split second I am frantically thinking of what to say when Cadence then says “Mommy! He NEEDS to get a shirt on!” She was so appalled that he didn’t have a shirt on…it was SO FUNNY! I couldn’t stop laughing, but I managed to tell her that he sure did need a shirt on! I am really glad that she has a feel for modesty already. That will make my job so much easier down the road! She is certainly keeping us on our toes these days!
She is also letting me take some pictures of her without getting mad! Yes! So here is one of the best ones. I will post some others on the photo blog for your viewing pleasure!

20 weeks!
Can you believe that I am half way already!?! I can't. Seems like it took forever to get here with Cadence and now the time is just flying by!
So here is a belly picture.
I am twice as big at this point than I was with Cadence but I haven't gained any weight yet. Probably a good thing since I started out this pregnancy 15 pounds over my normal weight. The plan is to only get to the weight I was at 9 months with Cadence. I only gained 30lbs with her and so far I am on target with this pregnancy! I am so proud of myself!

It's a.....
BABY! That was confirmed today at our ultrasound. The baby would NOT hold still. It took the tech a really long time to get all the necessary shots needed to make sure the baby was alright because the baby kept moving all over the place! We finally got down to the real important question though...pink or blue? It took a while to get the baby to hold still long enough to tell, but we are pleased to announce that Cadence will be having a little sister! Another pink one for us! We are super excited! We won't have to buy anything so that is a big plus! Now we just need to get a name for her and we will be all set.

So many things...
To start off the morning, Cadence woke up an hour early after going to bed an hour late last night. Needless to say, I wasn't exactly happy about this. Cadence hasn't been sleeping that well for the last month or so, and I miss my sleep. Most mornings I feel pretty good until about 10am when the morning sickness hits me pretty hard. This morning I was sick before I got up. Not very pleasant. The last thing I want to do while I am sick in the morning is THINK about food, let along touch any. Cadence was of course extremely hungry and wanted some pancakes. I had some in the freezer just for this purpose. She has now eaten 11 pancakes. This is more than she usually eats in a week. She also wants to play "hide me" which involves me hiding and her chasing me with a squirt bottle. This is while eating her pancakes.
I guess what I am trying to say is when it rains it pours. :o)
I was sad to hear about President Hinkley. He was a truely amazing man. My mom and I both commented that he passed on like he did everything else, quickly and with dignity. I have to admire him that. At his age it should be quickly and quietly. I smile to think of the welcome he must have received. I hope that whomever the Lord chooses to fill those shoes is with us just as long. I look forward to the announcement.
Cadence is on pancake 12 now. At this rate we are going to run out and there will be a tantrum tomorrow when we don't have anymore. Lunch time is soon so maybe I can switch her over to a PB&J. :o)
Everything with the baby looked good at my first appointment. My official due date is Sept. 5th. Despite how sick I am I am super excited about this baby. I was worried that I wouldn't be as excited (or scared) as I was with Cadence, but I have surprised myself. There is a lot less fear and worry this time around since I know what to expect. Brady is excited as well and we can't wait to find out what the sex is so that we can pick out a name (or at least try too...I don't remember it being this hard last time!). For all those of you with two, we are looking into getting a double stroller and we are wondering what you ended up doing? I am really interested in the sit and stand deluxe since it has a removable back seat so Cady and stand and see and sleep as well. There are not as many decisions to make this time around and that is always a good thing!
We hope that you are all well and I will try and be better about updating from now on!
P.S. Cadence has moved on to Cherries now, so I won't have to make more pancakes tomorrow! :o)

Morning sickness...ugh
So the morning sickness has struck. I was really hoping that I would pass it by this time around, but alas, no.
For those of you who don't know, I had horrendous morning sickness the first three months I was pregnant with Cadence. I lost 15lbs that I didn't have to lose before it finally released it's iron grasp on my poor stomach and let me enjoy being pregnant. I do feel fortunate that I wasn't sick the entire time. That was a true blessing.
As sad as it is for me to say, being sick is the only truly vivid memory I have of my first pregnancy. The labor pain and recovery are very dim in my mind as was all the discomfort of being huge at the end. But I remember very clearly how it felt to be sick, and I about bawled three days ago when the MS hit me this time around.
I have tried just about everything but true medication for it. I may just ask for it this time around. I have tried the wrist bands, ginger candy, ginger ale, preggie pops, saltine crackers, exercise, half a unisom and B6, ice, sucking on lemons, lemon drops and lemonade. So far sucking on Jolly Ranchers helps a lot, but that will only go so far since a diet made up completely of bad sugars isn't exactly recommended. :o) At least I know when to expect it to go away. Only about 10 more weeks of this to go and it should back off. I hope.
If anyone has any ideas for me to try that I haven't already I would be very grateful. Everything is worth trying once!
In the mean time, I am trying to keep my spirits up. It would be so easy to be in a foul mood all the time because of all this, but it is my goal to try and be my normal self despite the discomfort. After all it isn't my families fault that I am going through all this! Wish me luck!

Christmas with the Lantz's
Well! I hope that everyone has had a very great Holiday Season so far! Ours has had it's ups and downs, but we have had a blast and we are looking forward to a new year filled with wonderful new experiences!
To start things off, thanks for all the birthday wishes! I had a great day topped with Brady's office Christmas Party at Lowery's (where I had to sing the Fa la la la la's with the Carolers...I think that everyone was pleasantly surprised when I could ACTUALLY sing...lol) and then a stay at the Red Rock Hotel that night. I had so much fun and it was nice to take a real bath with bubbles and such without a time limit!
Here is a picture of Cady in Christmas Dress #3:

Yeah she looks good in everything. I really didn't think the Lord was being literal when in my Patriarchal Blessing he said I would have "beautiful children." Apparently He meant just that. Cadence now has two MORE Christmas dresses to wear that she received as Christmas gifts. Don't worry I will post pictures of those as well. :o)
The Sunday before Christmas we had our Family Christmas Party with Brady's side of the family. We were totally SPOILED. Cady got the worst of the spoiling though. Here are a few pictures of the party.

Among all the loot was a kids size rolling luggage with Cadence's name on it (very handy now that her stuff won't fit in with mine anymore when we travel) a Hokey Poky Elmo (really very funny and even funnier is watching Cady try and do what he does) and a new baby doll complete with changes of clothes, diapers and bottles. She LOVED her new baby and when we asked her what her baby's name was she said "Kennedy like mommy." About made me cry it was so sweet.
Christmas came and at our house Cadence got a play dough play table and a baby play set complete with stroller, swing, diaper bag, play mat and a mini pack'and'play. At my aunts she got two more babies (the girl is in baby heaven) and the two new Christmas dresses. She was so excited to go everyone and see all the presents and then open them. She wasn't just excited for her presents either...she wanted to see what everyone got and exclaim "Oh how cute!" over everything. It was wonderful. All my Sib's where in town and it was great to see everyone. Avery was a huge hit with those family members that hadn't seen her yet (which was just about everyone). Here is a picture of Avery and Megan crashing out after all the present opening. Avery has really porked up. She was 6lbs 1oz at birth and now weights a hefty 10lbs.
After Christmas things have settled down a bit. Whitney and Cord headed home and Ryan, Megan and my mom left to go Camping with my uncles (mom has three brothers) and their families in Texas. Those of us left at the house are trying to get things cleaned up and find homes for all the new stuff. This morning we had another surprise...

We weren't exactly trying, but were weren't NOT trying if that makes any sense. We are so excited and figure that my due date is sometime around September 8th or 9th. Yes I took two tests. That is one less than I took when I got a positive with Cadence. The first one is just so unreal to me that I take two just to make sure. I know. I have issues. :o) But we are very excited. According to the Pencil Test we are having another girl (followed by three boys). If you would like more information on the Pencil Test let me know. I would be happy to explain and even conduct it on all you females out there...so far it hasn't been wrong. :o) So any ideas on girls names (heck we will take boys names too) send them my way. We were fresh out after Cady.
Anyway, hope that everyone has a happy new year!
