Up!

If you haven't seen Up yet (and you have had plenty of time...it's almost out of Theaters here in Vegas) YOU NEED TO SEE IT! I think it is the best movie I have seen in a long time. You laugh and then cry and then laugh some more. Bring tissues. Cadence and I had a mommy/daughter date tonight and I am so glad that she picked this movie over Ice Age. It was totally awesome and I think it was worth paying full price to see (you probably won't hear me say that ever again). So again...if you haven't seen it get a move on! You will be very glad that you did!

Busy...so busy.

I feel like I have been running on fumes for the last month or so. What with Brady still looking for work, waiting on a job from the Air Force, my new calling, my kids having sleep issues, and planning a joint 1st Birthday party for Rory and Aidric, I feel like I haven't stopped to breath for a while.

We have been very blessed lately. For a while there I was ignoring how blessed we have been in favor of complaint about Brady not being able to find a job and money being non-existent, but I was being foolish. We have much to be thankful for. For one, my children have been healthy. With money so tight it would have been insane trying to get money to take them to the Dr. So the Lord has blessed them with health and strength. My parents have been supporting us in more than just monetary ways and I can't thank them enough. They are truly an example of love and charity in times that are hard for everyone. My in-laws, too, have been wonderful support for us and I am ever so grateful for them and there willingness to help us.

Most of all I am grateful for the family time we have had together. We have bonded as a family in a way I could have never imagined. We do everything together. My children are just as attached to Brady as they are to me! Rory often calls out "Dahd" and will wait for him to call back. (We are pretty sure that Dad is her first real word and Brady is over the moon about it, though she often calls me "dahd" too). I am even more thankful for this bond in light of the fact that once Brady does get a job with the AF he will initially be gone for several months. I have been so worried about Rory not remembering him, but I don't think that will be a problem now.

Rory's first birthday is coming up soon. She is standing on her own now and we figure it is only a matter of time before she walks. It looks silly seeing a baby as little as she is standing and trying to walk, but I know soon she will be chasing Cady everywhere and my baby will be gone. It seems much more bitter sweet this time around. With Cady everything was (and is) new and we couldn't wait to see her do the next big thing! As I watch Rory growing up I am so very sad to see my baby days slipping away. I know that we will mostly likely be doing a baby again in couple of years and I keep reminding myself that Rory isn't my last child (with any luck), but it is still hard to watch. I do look forward to Cady and Rory being real playmates though! It will be beautiful to watch!

Well enough words for now. Baby is pulling on my shirt and threatening complete meltdown soon! I hope everyone is doing well!

Fun at Grandma Viv's

Last night we went to Grandma Viv and Grandpa Randy's house and swam for a while. Then we made home-made pizza! Cadence LOVES to help cook. In fact, she loves to HELP with anything. Monday's chore at our house is clean the bathrooms and Cadence almost always offers to help clean the toilet. Yep. She is the only person I have ever met who WILLINGLY offers to clean the toilet.

Anyway, Cadence helped put together ALL the pizzas. She did the sauce, cheese and all the toppings. It was great fun!

I also got to take some pictures of my sweet nephew, Tyson. He is growing up so fast and is a little grandma's boy. No joke this boy loves his grandmas! It is driving my sister nutty, but I totally remember Cadence being the same way! Isn't he the cutest little guy?

And of course there are my darling girls! I love them so! Cadence has a new phrase she uses all the time with mom and dad too. She is always telling us, "Mom (or Dad) you're the BEST!" I LOVE IT. There is nothing like your children thinking you are the best. I know I should soak up as much as I can now, before they get to old and start thinking that I am the farthest from the best you can get! :o)

Rory gives hugs now. It is so sweet! She will crawl over, climb up on to my lap and then throw her arms around me and lay her head on your shoulder. Then she lets out this big sigh of contentment. I love my Rory-bean.

Cadybug

I love my Cadybug. She spent the night at her Grandma Suzi's house last night and I missed her. Brady and I have long since decided that we aren't the kind of people that can travel without our children. We miss them way to much. One night away I can handle, especially when I know she is in the best of hands and having a blast. Longer than that is torture.

Rory is 10 months old!

I'm sure most of you have noticed all the beautiful pictures I have of my nephew Aidric on the photo blog. He is adorable and cooperative and responds to his name when I call and all in all it was really easy to get darling pictures of him.

I tried to get pictures of Rory at the same time. This is what I got...

Nice. So I put her down for a nap. When she woke up she had comb-over hair, but was in a much better mood. However, she would not cooperate, would not hold still for more than a nano-second, and she would NOT respond to her name. My brother was laughing hysterically at my sad attempt at a 10 month photo shoot. I look back now and it really was very funny. Anyway here are some of the decent pictures from my 2 hour effort! lol.

Had to get one of her watching Aidric to match the one I have of Aidric watching her. :o)

"What mom? Oh don't play with the monitor? Okay, I'll only yank on it 12 times. That's not really playing. No not really."

3 second later: "Monitor is boring! How about I come and stick my mouth on your lens so you have to stop and clean it yet again? You like that idea? Mom your the best!"

This is what she does right before she starts to crawl anywhere. She does this every. time. No. joke.

You know you love the crazy I-sweat-like-mad-when-I-sleep hair in combination with I-run-my-lunch-covered-hands-through-my-hair look. I sure do.


Really though, she is a joy! Only two more months and she will be a year old. She is really packing the weight on these days. She still looks small, but darn if she isn't getting heavy! It's about time though. We have been calling her our little squeak toy these days. She makes these high pitched little 'ha' noises at us all the time. She also finally started saying the ma ma's and ba ba's, etc. She has also been trying to climb the stairs every chance she gets. That is driving me insane cause she is ridiculously fast and stealthy about it. She can fly when I'm not looking. I'm pretty sure about it. lol.

I feel like the luckiest mom in the world to have the two most wonderful and beautiful girls on the planet. I will put some pictures up of Cady later this week. She has been giving me a hard time about the camera, but I think she will loosen up soon. She always does! :o) Hope every one had a great 4th!

Happy 4th to everyone!

I guess yesterday was the day of good news!

I want to say Congratulations to my good friends Amy and Tim! Yesterday they were officially licensed to be Foster Parents and with in an hour of being licensed they received a call to come and pick up a 4 day old baby girl from the hospital! She doesn't even have a name yet since she became a ward of the state before the mom could name her. There is a good chance they could foster-adopt her and they are so very excited! I hope to take some pictures of her pretty self tomorrow and if it is okay I will post some! They survived the first night and they are totally in love with her already!
