Rory was 9 months old on the 2nd! People still think she is 4 or 5 months old though! lol. She is crawling like a pro and (as you can see in the pictures below) she is pulling up on everything. It only took her two days to figure out how to get down once she got up too! :o) Little smarty pants!
Rory is still a joy to have in our home! She is so quiet and observant, but knows when to be loud and get the attention she needs. She is very curious, has the sweetest smiles, and her laugh is loud and always comes at the most unexpected times! Her newest "funny" thing: whenever she sees someone (new or familiar) she "hails" them. She sticks her arm and hand straight out at a slight angle and holds it there until you notice. Then she grins and goes on her way! Hilarious...so we when ever she does it someone we announce whom ever she is hailing...like "Hail grandma!" That makes her laugh. She and Cady play so well together! Cadence loves finding things for her to do and likes to try and get her to walk while holding on to her hands. Way cute and I need to get that on camera before they stop doing it! :o)
Her 9 month appointment isn't until the 15th so I will have stats then, but at her last appointment a couple of weeks ago (for a cough) she weighed all of 14lbs 10 ounces. She's a whopper alright! lol. Here are some pictures of our beauties.

Yes I realize that my couch cushion is backwards in most of the pictures...not sure when that happened! As for the rest of us...Cadence is keeping busy with lots of things. She plays pretend games all the time and loves to have her nails painted. She swims at both Grandma's houses and we need to get her some lessons this summer. She is very temperamental lately and I think it is due to all the changes that have been going on. Brady was let go from his job at Premier and was home for a little over a month and applying for job after job. He finally landed one and now works from 1pm to 8pm week days and 10 to 2pm on Saturdays. Cadence is very confused about why dad isn't home to put her to bed and it has been a battle of wills. Sadly she has been winning and ends up staying up until dad gets home before going to bed most days. It can be rough, but I think she will adjust after a while.
We are waiting to hear back from the Air Force. Brady did well on all the tests except the eye exam. He has pretty bad vision, but it is correctable. We are waiting to see if the Surgeon General will approve a waiver for his eyes and let him enlist. Keep us in your prayers please! We hope to know soon whatever happens so we can make the right plans for the future.
I am still taking pictures! If anyone wants a session please email me or leave me a comment and we can set something up. I am having a grand time with my photography and I hope to have a website up soon. I have been having some technical issues with it as well as time issues (I just don't have a ton of time to work on it!).
I hope that you are all doing well and enjoying the beginning of summer! I am looking forward to lots of swimming and good old fashion fun!
